GRAND CENTRAL TERMINAL, Manhattan (WABC) -- The Long Island Railroad experienced delays and cancellations out of New York City Tuesday evening.

The LIRR said was having signal issues, causing it to lose one of the three East River tunnels that is normally used during the evening rush.

The issue lasted about an hour, before full service was restored at about 5:15 p.m.

According to the LIRR, most lines are back to normal with the exception of the Port Washington Line, which had one train canceled.

Customers should expect delays and cancellations.
