Serial construction-equipment thief hitting Hunts Point in Bronx, NYPD says

HUNTS POINT, Bronx (WABC) -- Police are searching for a man who they said has been stealing construction equipment, including heavy machinery, in the Bronx.

According to the New York City Police Department, a man forced his way into construction businesses in Hunts Point at least three times since April.

On April 28, around 9:40 p.m., the suspect slipped through the fence at Pooran Pallet Inc. on Drake Street and drove out with the company's forklift.

The suspect is described as a black man, 5 feet 11 inches, 220 pounds, last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweater and dark blue jeans.
