16 homeless after fire burns through home in Passaic, New Jersey

PASSAIC, New Jersey (WABC) -- A two-alarm fire burned through a home in Passaic, New Jersey, leaving 16 residents homeless.

The fire broke out inside the home on Columbia Avenue just after 10 p.m. Sunday.

Heavy flames shot through the roof.

Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading, but the three-family home was destroyed.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
