3 men wounded in shooting at North Patchogue nightclub

NORTH PATCHOGUE, Long Island (WABC) -- Police are investigating a nightclub shooting on Long Island early Sunday that left three men wounded.

Authorities say the shooting occurred outside of VIP Lounge on Waverly Ave. in North Patchogue at about 2:45 a.m.

A 23-year-old Medford man was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of multiple gunshot wounds.

A 30-year-old Central Islip man was transported in a private vehicle to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center where he was treated and released for a gunshot wound to the leg.

A 19-year-old Medford man was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in a private vehicle (not the same vehicle as the 30-year-old man) for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.

The identities of the victims have not been released.

So far there have been no arrests.

Police say this was the third shooting outside the club since May.
