Man charged in murder of missing man found dead in Shark River Park in New Jersey

WALL TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WABC) -- Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a man whose body was found in a park in New Jersey last week.

20-year-old Joseph Villani of Ocean Township has been charged in the murder of 29-year-old Trupal Patel Wednesday morning in Shark River Park, in Wall Township.

Investigators say a park ranger was collecting litter when he discovered Patel's body along Gully Road.

A friend had reported him missing on Feb. 9th.

Prosecutors have not released a motive for the murder.
