Dispute between 2 cousins in SoHo ends in stabbing

SOHO, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police say a verbal dispute between two cousins in SoHo escalated into violence, with one of them stabbed.

At about 12:45 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a street disturbance at West Houston St and West Broadway where the cousins were involved in an altercation.

One of them suffered knife wounds to the lower back and buttocks.

The 37-year-old victim went to Beth Israel Hospital where he is reported to be in stable condition.

His 47-year-old attacker resisted arrest, police say, and was transported to Bellevue Hospital.

Two officers from the 6th Precinct suffered minor injuries.

Charges are pending.
