VALLEY STREAM, Long Island (WABC) -- Police are looking for suspects in the robbery of two teens in Valley Stream Friday.
According to the Nassau County Police Department, a woman armed with a BB gun, approached two 15-year-olds, a boy and a girl, on Ethel Street and pointed the gun at them, then fired a round into the ground.
The two victims kept walking, and were approached by two additional people, armed with a handgun. Those two suspects, police said, threatened to shoot them if they did not hand over their belongings.
The male teen gave them his backpack, but the girl refused and pushed the handgun one suspect pointed at her away from her face.
Police said the suspect then punched her in the face and took her backpack. The two suspects fled east on Ethel toward Central Avenue in a light-colored silver or gray Honda, believed to be an Accord.
Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the female victim, who sustained a bruise and cut on her nose and mouth, to a the hospital.
The first suspect is described as a black woman, 15 to 16 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a medium complexion, thin build, and straight brown hair (in a bun). She was wearing a blue Adidas sweater.
The second suspect is a Hispanic man, 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a light complexion. He is heavy set, wearing a white vendetta phantom mask. The third is a Hispanic man, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with an average build, wearing all black clothing and a white vendetta phantom mask.
There is no description of the driver of the vehicle. The victims' property, including school books, credit cards and cell phone, were recovered on West Jamaica Ave.
