Cops injured hurt in car crash involving bike

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- Two officers were injured in a crash in East Williamsburg Friday morning.

Around 7:30 a.m., officers were driving on Flatbush Avenue and Bushwick Avenue when a bicyclist cut in front of their cruiser.

The driver swerved to avoid the bicyclist and the cruiser crashed into the rear of a box truck. The officers were taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

The accident is under investigation.
