HOUSTON (WABC) -- What's in a name really? Was it Andrew, or Katrina, Floyd, Camille, Ike or Audrey? Which was worst? We've heard it all day.

People have asked me how this compares to Sandy five years ago.

I don't know how to answer. Do you compare the lives lost, the homes destroyed, the emotional trauma of it all? Whose loss was greater?

The events in Texas are stunning, and inspiring and compassionate and breathtaking with every image we show.

The work being done by our #Abc13Houston cousins makes me proud to be among them.

Our ABC-owned television stations are here to lend support to them.

So many staffers here are dealing with their own personal losses.

When the coverage they are providing slows, they will return to their own flooded homes.

None will ask which hurricane was the worst.
