Teacher at Bronx school accused of sexually abusing 12-year-old girl

BRONX, New York (WABC) -- A 28-year-old teacher at an-all girls school in the Bronx is accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl after sending inappropriate pictures over social media.

Authorities say Ryan Evans, who was employed at the Bronx Global Learning Institute for Girls charter school on Concourse Village West, first had an extended Snapchat relationship with the victim that included nude photos.

Investigators believe he sent the pictures sometimes between August and December, and the victim responded with naked pictures of herself.

The girl later told detectives that Evans inappropriately touched and groped her at a location in the Bronx.

Evans is charged with sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child, use of a child in a sexual performance and promoting sexual performance by a child.
