3 men wanted for spree of subway robberies in the Bronx

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police are looking for three men in connection with a spree of subway robberies in the Bronx.

The NYPD released surveillance video from the first incident ten days ago in the station at Southern Boulevard and East 149th Street.

A 37-year old man was exiting the #6 train when the men approached him in the stairwell.

One of the suspects restrained the victim from behind while another held the victim's right arm, police say.

The third suspect then punched the victim about the face and body and removed his Samsung Galaxy, bank cards and a mountain bike. The suspects fled on Prospect Avenue toward East 152 Street. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene.

In the second incident on Nov. 17th, investigators say a man was going down the stairs toward the #6 train when two men approached from behind, placed an unknown object in his back and took cash out of his pocket.

A week later a man was exiting the northbound #6 train he was apporached and pushed against the wall by the suspects who took off his phone and cash.

The suspects are described as three men, between the ages of 18 and 20, wearing gray sweat-suits and black sneakers.
