3-year-old girl in New Jersey found with suspected drug user

CAMDEN, N.J. -- Camden County police said an unconscious driver suspected of being under the influence of heroin had a 3-year-old in the back seat.

Authorities said 40-year-old Domenick Romeo III of Pitman was passed out behind the wheel of a pickup truck at an intersection in Camden on Saturday.

Police said they recovered empty syringe packaging from the truck.

Romeo is charged with child endangerment, driving under the influence, reckless driving and driving while suspended.

The child was returned to family members.
