FAIRFIELD, California -- A 4-year-old boy in California finally got the chance to meet the woman who saved his life.

Jordan Terry was born two months prematurely, and by the time he was two, his kidney problems were bad enough that he needed a transplant.

His family put out a desperate plea in newspapers and all over social media. It was a mutual friend who sent Victoria Myer a link to the search for a donor.

"I saw Jordan's picture with his grandmother and I stopped and read it. And then, of course I have three younger ones. And I thought, 'I hope somebody would want to do that for my kids also,'" Myer told KRON4.

Myer said she wanted to give Jordan and his family space before meeting. He's been doing well after a successful surgery from two years ago, so the time felt right.

Myer couldn't help but let her tears flow when she saw Jordan with flowers in hand and sunglasses on.

"Just to finally be able to meet him just really means a lot. It's just just very overwhelming," Myer said.
