Ambulance hits woman on way to 911 call in Manhattan

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police say an ambulance on the way to an emergency struck a pedestrian in Manhattan.

Investigators say the FDNY-EMS ambulance was responding to a 911 call with its lights and sirens on when it hit the 69-year-old woman near 35th Street and Broadway.

The driver stayed at the scene and another ambulance took the victim to Bellevue Hospital in serious condition.
