Man killed in shooting near Astoria Park pool in Queens

ASTORIA (WABC) -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting at a popular park in Queens.

Investigators say a man was found Saturday afternoon near the Astoria Park pool on 19th Street lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head.

The 42-year old victim was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital.

Neighbors say police told them the victim was not robbed.

Police have made no arrests.
