Car hits utility pole in Roselle; teen passenger dies

ROSELLE NJ (WABC) -- A 16-year-old student was killed when his friend's car crashed in Roselle Tuesday evening.

Justin Juzefyk was a passenger in 2003 Honda SUV when the vehicle struck a utility pole and then hit a tree in Warinanco Park.

The two had just left an event at the hockey rink in the park.

The 17-year-old driver suffered minor injuries.

Both teens attend Cranford High School.

Officials say this is an unspeakable tragedy and offer their condolences to the family and fellow students.

The accident is under investigation by the Union County Police Department.
