New Jersey teenager charged with fatally shooting his father

KINNELON, N.J. (WABC) -- An 18-year old New Jersey man is being held on $750,000 bail in the shooting death of his father.

Travis Hofstetter is behind bars in the Morris County Correctional Facility.

He's charged with killing his father, James Hofstetter, 57, inside their home in Kinnelon Sunday afternoon.

Police do not have a motive in the killing.

Prosecutors say police found the elder Hofstetter when they responded to reports of a medical emergency at the residence. Travis Hofstetter was arrested a short time later in nearby Hardyston Township.
