2 men robbed Hicksville pawnshop, attacking store employee

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (WABC) -- Two men robbed a Hicksville pawnshop, attacking a store employee.

Around 3:20 p.m. on Monday, two men went to Wall Street Gold Buyers on West Old Country Road and pretended to want to sell some gold. The owner was then confronted by one suspect who acted as though he had a gun under his arm, and demanded gold and money.

As the victim tried to get away, the suspect pistol whipped her in the head, according to the Nassau County Police Department. After a brief struggle, the victim left the store and called for help.

The suspects took more than $1,000 in cash and a Michael Kors watch. They were last seen westbound in a black SUV on Old Country Road. Polcie have not located the suspects.
