Massive Bridgeport fire guts three homes

BRIDGEPORT (WABC) -- A raging fire completely gutted three homes in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Friday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to Hanover Street on reports of a house on fire just before 1 p.m.

When they arrived, they found that the fire had spread to a neighboring structure. It quickly jumped to two others, as well.

Officials say the home had been boarded up, creating exposure problems for firefighters.

Firefighters quickly wrangled the flames and continued to work on hotspots.

No injuries were reported.
