Police looking for man who stole livery cab, crashed into school bus in the Bronx

TREMONT (WABC) -- Police are searching for a robbery suspect who made off with a livery cab in the Bronx, then slammed into a school bus.

Investigators released surveillance images showing the man after he allegedly stole the car at knifepoint at the intersection of East 165th Street and Webster Avenue in the early morning hours of Feb. 2nd.

According to police, the suspect put a knife to the 37-year old driver's side and told him to continue driving.

When the vehicle reached E. 185th Street and Park Avenue, the suspect told the driver to get out and then drove off with the vehicle.

At the intersection of E. 150th Street and Melrose Ave. the vehicle crashed into the rear of a school bus. The suspect then fled the vehicle.

The suspect is described as wearing a black coat and blue jeans.
