HARTSDALE (WABC) -- A bagel store in Westchester County remains closed after a gas explosion.

It happened around 2:30 Sunday morning when no one was inside the store on Central Park Avenue in Hartsdale.

The store's front window was blown out, which triggered the alarm.

Police responded, thinking it was a burglar who broke the window.

The explosion also caused a partial collapse of the store's ceiling.

Stores on either side were not damaged and remained open Sunday morning.

Officials are checking for structural damage. The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
