Fashion bandit makes off with $18,000 in clothes from Madison Avenue Men's Warehouse

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police are looking for a suspect who broke into the same Men's Warehouse at 360 Madison Ave. in Midtown three times - and apparently now has a great wardrobe.

According to the New York City Police Department, the suspect took $18,000 worth of clothes.

On Nov. 17, he broke into the store at about 3:30 a.m. through a glass door, taking $4,000 worth of clothing. Five days later, at about 8:15 p.m. he took $3,000 in clothes. Around 3:30 a.m. Jan. 27, he broke a glass door and stole $10,900 in clothing.

He was last seen entering the subway station at 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue wearing a cap and a wool coat, and carrying a bag.

The suspect is about 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, and 45 to 55 years old.
