Suspect wanted in attempted kidnapping of 11-year old Brooklyn girl

WILLIAMSBURG (WABC) -- Police have released a sketch of the man suspected of trying to kidnap an 11-year old girl in Brooklyn.

Investigators say that on March 13th, at 5:50 p.m., the girl was walking in the vicinity of Manhattan Avenue and Moore Street when the suspect pulled up in a silver SUV and began waving at her to come towards him.

She ignored him and kept walking.

According to police, the suspect then parked his vehicle, got out and began to follow her while continuing to wave at her to come towards him.

The victim fled the scene, as did the suspect.

There were no reported injuries.

The suspect is described as 35-years old, 5'8" tall wearing dark clothing.
