NYPD officer hit by livery driver in Kensington section of Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- An NYPD officer was struck by a livery car while crossing a street in the Kensington section Friday.

The officer was crossing in the 200 block of Ocean Parkway when she was struck just after 1:30 a.m, according to the New York City Police Department.

She was taken to Maimonides Hospital in stable condition.

The livery driver stopped at the scene. No charges are expected.

The officer is assigned to the area where she was hit.
