NJ police help to capture black bear on the loose in Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey helped to capture a black bear on the loose.

The 175-pound bear had been running around a neighborhood in Ridgewood. Police tracking the bear found it hiding in a tree in Kensington Road.

Other nearby police departments were called in to help keep the area clear while Animal Control tranquilized the bear and removed it from the neighborhood.
