Man shot at Brooklyn gas station, tries to drive himself to hospital

EAST NEW YORK (WABC) -- A man was shot in his car Monday morning while at a Brooklyn, gas station and then attempted to drive himself to the hospital.

The 41 year old victim was shot at a BP Station at Flatlands Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue in East New York just after 5:35 a.m.

He claims an unknown male with a goatee walked up to the car and shot him in the back.

The man tried to drive but was forced to pull over on Vermont Street.

He was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests were immediately made.
