7 people shot following barbecue in Morningside Park

HARLEM, Manhattan (WABC) -- Police say seven people were shot Saturday night after a barbecue in Morningside Park in Harlem.

There were two separate locations of the shooting, and investigators believe the incidents are related.

The first shooting took place at 116 Street and Manhattan Avenue 11:30 pm.

Three males were removed to St. Luke's Hospital and two females were taken to Lincoln Hospital.

They are in stable condition and expected to survive.

Shortly after that two other males were shot at 116 Street and Frederick Douglas Boulevard.

They were taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition and are expected to survive.

The gunman is still at large.

At around 10:30 p.m. police had called a level 1 mobilization for crowd control.

Hundreds of people spilled out from the park onto the streets.
