Casket dumped outside cemetery in Bushwick, Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. (WABC) -- A casket with human remains inside was dumped next to Evergreens Cemetery in Bushwick, Brooklyn, on Tuesday.

The coffin, which was missing its lid, was found at Pilling Street, near Central Avenue, just outside the cemetery. There were no identifiable marks on it.

Numerous bones were found inside, along with trash. The Medical Examiner's office has determined that the bones are human.

There was no evidence of grave tampering in the cemetery.
