Bronx fire leaves 6 hurt, including 2 children seriously injured

BRONX (WABC) -- Six people were injured, two of them children, in a fire in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx Friday.

The fire broke out on the first floor of the Watson Avenue home just before noon.

Some of the victims were trapped and had to be rescued by firefighters.

The most seriously injured were two children, including a baby.

They are being treated for serious injuries at Montefiore Medical Center. Both are expected to survive.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
