4 people struck by falling fence at Midtown construction site

MIDTOWN (WABC) -- A section of a fence surrounding a construction site blew over and struck a pedestrian in Midtown Manhattan Wednesday morning.

The incident happened at Seventh Avenue and West 40th Street at 9:40 a.m. A 40-foot section of fencing was blown over due to high winds at the construction site.

Four people were taken to Bellevue with minor injuries.

An inspector from the Department of Buildings responded to investigate.
