Missing Suffolk County man, 82, with dementia, found safe

MELVILLE (WABC) -- A Suffolk County man with dementia has been found safe after he had gone missing, prompting a Silver Alert by police.

82-year old Frank Punturiere was last seen leaving his home on Blueberry Court in Melville Saturday morning wearing glasses and jeans.

He was driving his 2013 gray Honda Accord at the time. Family members say he went for a drive, got confused, and couldn't get home.

Police found him in Deer Park during the overnight hours and said he was not hurt.
