Limo driver sleeping on Southern State Parkway exit ramp suspected of DWI

FARMINGDALE (WABC) -- A limousine driver who was found asleep at the wheel on a parkway ramp on Long Island was charged with DWI.

Around 4 a.m. Wednesday, Farmingdale troopers responded to a disabled vehicle on the eastbound Southern State Parkway exit ramp at Route 107.

According to Nassau County Police Department, officers found a black Lincoln Town Car limousine with Cristian Quizhpi, age 33, of Ozone Park inside. The car was stopped on the ramp. When the troopers woke Quizhpi up, they detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage, police said.

According to police, Quizhpi failed sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. His breath sample showed a .17 percent blood alcohol content. He was charged with DWI and for a vehicle stopped on the highway.
