5-alarm fire burns through Queens Village warehouse

QUEENS VILLAGE (WABC) -- The cleanup is underway in Queens after firefighters battled a five-alarm fire that raged for more than five hours.

Flames broke out in a warehouse at 218th Street and 98th Avenue in Queens Village.

It was put under control just before midngiht.

There are no reports of any injruies.

The Health Department advised local residents to stay indoors and close their windows to avoid inhaling smoke.

There were 40 fire trucks on the scene, and heavy traffic delays were reported throughout the area.
