Car nearly ends up in Yonkers swimming pool

YONKERS, N.Y. (WABC) -- There was a close call for a driver in Westchester County who nearly drove his car straight into a pool.

It happened earlier Thursday night on Bennett Avenue in Yonkers.

Police say the driver hit the gas instead of the brake at the end of his driveway.

The car sped down a cliff and nearly went right into a swimming pool.

Firefighters had to help pull the driver to safety.

The driver was not hurt.

No charges will be filed.
