Suspects wanted in serial robberies of construction sites

Police are searching for several suspects accused in a series of robberies at construction sites across the city.

In all of the incidents, the suspects threatened overnight security guards with a gun before tying them up with tape, according to the New York City Police Department. Also in each robbery, police said the suspects were driving a small U-haul van and stole cash and electronics.

At 2:40 a.m. on May 26, the suspects entered 500 Exterior St., punched and kicked the security guard and stole a Samsung cellphone, $80, a saw and a toolbox.

At 4:40 a.m. on June 6, the suspects entered 100-15 Ditmars Blvd. where they stole a wallet containing $40, a Lavoda laptop and a cellphone. At 3 a.m. on June 13, the suspects stole $120 and a Samsung cellphone from 899 Westchester Ave., police said.
