Newark shooting leaves 1 man dead, 1 wounded

One man is dead and another wounded after a shooting in Newark.

Sunday night, police responded to the vicinity of Huntington Terrace and Lehigh Avenue at approximately 10:49 p.m.

When they arrived they discovered 20-year-old Brent Williams of East Orange unresponsive in a car, authorities say.

He was transported to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A second 20-year-old man also sustained a non-life threatening gun shot wound. His identity has not been released.

The investigation is active and ongoing. No motive has been determined and there have been no arrests.
