Little Falls police issues warrants for suspect in overnight burglaries

LITTLE FALLS, N.J. (WABC) -- Little Falls police have issued arrest warrants for a man they said was involved in home burglaries and a foot chase last week.

According to police, the crime spree happened overnight on July 22.

Police said James M. Rainsford, 47, is currently homeless and living in vacant houses in Paterson, New Jersey. He is reportedly known to travel by bicycle during the late afternoon and early morning hours.

Anyone who sees Rainsford or has information about the July 22 crimes can contact the Little Falls Police Department Detective Bureau at 973-256-2411. Police said people should not approach Rainsford. They are also urging residents to make sure their windows and doors are locked at home while they are away and at night.
