Child and woman critical, another woman injured in near drowning in Queens

ROCKAWAYS (WABC) -- A 12-year-old girl is in critical condition after she and her mother were pulled from the waters off Riis Beach in the Rockaways Monday night.

Park visitors called police when the two weren't able to swim back to shore.

They were pulled from the water.

They were taken to Staten Island University Hospital.

Her 32-year old mother is in stable condition.

A 62-year-old woman was pulled from a separate area. She's also in critical condition.
