Woman in Queens attacked on way into home

QUEENS, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police are looking for a woman who was attacked as she entered her home in Elmhurst.

Around 3 a.m. Tuesday, the suspect approached a woman as she tried to get into her home at Hampton Street and Baxter Avenue.

The suspect put a sharp object to her neck and asked her if she lived alone. She was cut on the left side of her neck, screamed and the suspect fled.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital in stable condition.
