4-year old boy drowns in backyard pool in Bay Shore

BAY SHORE -- Suffolk County Police are investigating the drowning death of a 4-year-old boy in Bay Shore Monday.

Adrian Schrone, 4, was found unresponsive in a semi-inground pool at his home, located at 184 Prospect Place, at approximately 1:15 p.m., investigators say.

Adults in the home attempted CPR and then transported him to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing.
