Suspect wanted for stealing money orders out of mailboxes in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx

NEW YORK (WABC) -- The NYPD is looking for a man who has been stealing money orders out of mailboxes in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx.

Pictures of the suspect, 23-year old Gilroy Pacheco, were taken from his social media accounts.

Investigators say the suspect removes the victims' mail from their mailboxes, uses chemicals to remove the payees name from money orders found in the stolen mail, and then cashes the checks under his or others' names.

He is wanted in connection with 18 grand larcenies.
