NJ Transit bus crashes into car dealership in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY (WABC) -- A New Jersey Transit bus jumped a curb and hit some parked vehicles behind a car dealership and hit some parked vehicles.

The accident occurred around 8 a.m. Tuesday at a Jersey City car dealership at Communipaw and Marcy Avenues.

A bus on Route 1, heading to Journal Square from Newark, jumped a curb and went into a Hyundai dealership damaging several cars. The cause is unclear.

There were no injuries to anyone outside the bus. There were seven passengers with non-life threatening injuries and they were taken to a local hospital.

Jersey City Police responded to the scene.
