NEW YORK (WABC) -- Power issues that caused major issues on several subway lines that run between Brooklyn and Manhattan have been resolved.

Service resumed just after 6 p.m. Thursday.

The MTA said the power problems affected a signal device in the Joralemon Tube.

Con Edison said a transformer fire knocked out the line providing power to the signal, and workers were getting a generator in place to provide backup power.

The lines affected were the 4 and 5, with delays also on the 2 and 3.

At the time, the southbound 4-5 trains were terminating at Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and Bowling Green. This service is back up and running again.
