Police hunting for suspect in attempted rape in Brooklyn

BENSONHURST (WABC) -- Police are trying to track down the suspect involved in an attempted rape in Brooklyn.

According to the NYPD, the victim, a 34 year-old female, was walking in the vicinity of 74 Street and 20 Avenue in Bensonhurst at about 2:30 a.m. August 5 when the suspect grabbed her from behind and began to kiss her neck.

The victim resisted and the suspect without further incident.

Police released surveillance images of the suspect, who is described as 5'5"-5'8", thin build with dark shoulder length hair.
