TEANECK, N.J. (WABC) -- A misunderstanding between a bus driver and a school bus company led to a bus driving on a wrong route in Teaneck, New Jersey with students onboard.

Police received several calls from parents once their kids did not return home from school, and were over one hour late.

The driver said that First Student Bus Co. gave him the wrong route.

Parents ended up picking up their kids at the intersection of Palmer and Johnson avenues.
