Tractor-trailer accident causes major delays on I-287 in Edison

EDISON (WABC) -- An accident involving a tractor-trailer and other vehicles caused major traffic delays Wednesday afternoon in Edison, New Jersey.

The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. on I-287 northbound near Exit 1.

Three left lanes were closed down, with only the right lane open to traffic.

Several people suffered minor injuries.

Motorists were advised to allow extra travel time or use an alternate route.
