Man arrested in hit-and run that left 60-year-old man injured in Hicksville

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police have made an arrest in a hit-and-run on Long Island.

Thomas M. Dee, 53, of Merrick, has been charged with assault, leaving the scene of an incident and leaving the scene of an incident causing injury. The defendant was arraigned Friday in Hempstead.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, around 11:15 p.m. Thursday, Dee drove a pickup truck into a parking lot at 370 Old Country Road in Hicksville and hit a 60-year-old man.

The man had been walking through the lot. He suffered a head injury and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
