PATERSON (WABC) -- Paterson police are asking for the public's help in identifying an assault suspect who randomly attacked a woman in July, and they are hoping surveillance video will lead to an arrest.

Authorities say the victim, who lives on Rosa Parks Boulevard, was walking home on July 26 when she was approached by a person she described as a muscularly built Hispanic male in his 20s near the intersection of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Market Street.

Without warning, he began to punch and kick her about the body and face. He then took her purse and cell phone and walked away.

Police looking to talk to three men depicted in the video. They are believed to frequent the area of Market Street
