SAN FRANCISCO (WABC) -- The first trailer for the documentary "Batkid Begins" was released at San Diego's Comic-Con.

IT was a behind-the-scenes look at 5-year-old Miles Scott's battle with leukemia and the push to turn San Francisco into Gotham City for a day to help the little superhero's wish come true.

The film also looks at what made the event last November go viral with 25,000 people spontaneously lining the streets to cheer on miles.

"One thing that struck me was how many people were holding up signs saying save us, Batkid. I looked at those signs and I thought you mean that literally. In helping him to live this dream, we were saving ourselves," Mashable's Chris Taylor said.

Filmmaker Dana Nachman has launched an online Indiegogo campaign to raise money for the film.

It will be released on November 15 in select theaters.
