Suspect wanted in cabbie robberies caught on video
Police are hoping this video leads to the arrest of a man who has robbed at least three cab drivers

PORT MORRIS (WABC) -- Police are searching for a robber who targets taxi drivers in the Bronx, and they're hoping surveillance video of the suspect will lead to an arrest.

Authorities say the man has robbed at least three cabbies in the past four weeks, all of them occurring within a few blocks of each other in the Port Morris section.

The suspect gets a ride in the cab, then robs the driver as he gets out.

In the latest case on Saturday morning, he reportedly threatened the cabbie with a knife.

The spree began around 6 a.m. on June 5, in the vicinity East 134th Street between Willow Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard after a ride from Manhattan.

The suspect is described as a black male with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion. He is approximately 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds and was last seen wearing a multi-colored baseball cap, a white and black polo shirt, blue jeans and red and white sneakers
